We recently conducted a survey among our members to gather insights on their preferences for summer activities. Here are the results:
1. Dive Interests:
Our members have shown a diverse range of interests when it comes to diving activities. The most popular choices include:
- Boat Dives
- Shore Dives
- Day trips to Key Largo
- Cleanup Dives
- Trips outside of South Florida
Remember when looking at the results that individuals were able to choose more than one type of dive. Among some of the other choices that were requested, we specifically had requests to arrange shark dives and trips to the cenotes of Mexico. All of these suggestions will help us plan our calendar. Thank you!
2. Quarterly Meeting Suggestions:
For our upcoming second quarterly meeting at the end of June, members have suggested various activities. The top suggestions are:
- Evening at a Dive Shop/Business
- Potluck Dinner at Event Venue
- Beach Party
The “Other” choice made it a tie between dive shops and event venues, so we are excited to tell you that Scuba Network will be hosting our next meeting on Jun 22 from 4 pm to 6 pm. Be there, or be square! Of course, we’re going to keep all of these suggestions in mind for future meetings.
3. Turtle Trek Interest:
We are excited to announce a Turtle Trek with the Audubon Society in Pompano Beach, where we hope to witness a turtle nest hatching. We asked our members if they would be interested in signing up for this event, even if it starts at 9 pm and goes until late. And your responses were overwhelmingly “yes!”
Based on the positive response, we have booked this event and you can sign up on our website for the Moonlight Turtle Trek. There are only 8 spots left!
4. Volunteer Interest:
Volunteering is a crucial part of our community, and we are thrilled to see the enthusiasm among our members. We appreciate your willingness to contribute and will reach out to those who expressed interest in volunteering.
