Patrick has always charted his own course. He’s never been interested in forcing himself into systems that don’t reflect who he is, and he learned early that the most effective growth comes from choosing environments that actually work.

As a gay man, Patrick values spaces that are direct, inclusive, and grounded in real experience. He believes people thrive when they’re not asked to explain or minimize themselves. That belief shapes everything he builds.

SCUBA diving entered his life as a challenge, not a rescue. Facing open water required focus, discipline, and trust—skills that carried over naturally above the surface. Diving became a way to stay present, clear-headed, and physically engaged with the world.

That commitment led Patrick to professional instruction. He is a certified SCUBA Instructor and Divemaster with more than a dozen specialty certifications from three major training agencies. He has trained with instructors in multiple states and continues to deepen his expertise through ongoing education and time in the water. 

Patrick is also a person in recovery from addiction.  Patrick believes growth works best when it’s lived, not compartmentalized. Meaningful change happens through experiences that demand presence, focus, and engagement with the real world. Scuba diving offers exactly that. Through his work, Patrick helps others access the clarity, discipline, and perspective that time underwater naturally builds.

Today, Patrick runs affirming, professional dive experiences where LGBTQ+ individuals are welcomed as a given—not a talking point. The emphasis is on competence, confidence, and shared respect for the ocean.
