Breakfast at the Bridge and Shore Dive After

Seahorse
Mar 22, 2026 | 9:30 AM — 1:00 PM

Location

Phil Foster Park
900 Blue Heron Blvd, Riviera Beach, FL 33404

We are meeting at Phil Foster Park to explore the world-famous Blue Heron Bridge dive site for a one-tank shore dive.  This dive is being led by instructor-member Patrick McGowan and our co-founder Christopher Duncan. BHB is ideal for both beginner and experienced divers.  If you have a camera, bring it along.  Blue Heron Bridge is well known for its diverse marine life, accessibility and shallow calm waters.  Commonly seen at the bridge are seahorses, octopus, eels and sea robins, along with all of the colorful reef fish you would hope for.

This is a great opportunity for our newer divers to gain some in-water experience with a certified professional at no charge.  Is this going to be your first dive of the year? Don’t forget about our 26 in 26 challenge. We want everyone to win.

High tide will be 11:20AM, which makes the ideal dive window to be 10:20 – 12:20. We will meet no later than 9:30 in the parking lot area adjacent to the overpass.   If you need to rent any gear or air, Patrick will be at the near-by Force-E shop from 8:00 – 9:00 to assist and answer any questions. (Parking at Phil Foster/Blue Heron Bridge is notoriously limited. Christopher will be at the Phil Foster parking lot about 8 am if you need help or want to join him for breakfast.)

And we’ll all grab lunch afterward at an as-yet-to-be-chosen restaurant.

Out Scuba believes that better trained divers make safer divers and increases the enjoyment of all participants on any dive. We include any training session(s) on our calendar because it is by an Out Scuba instructor member, offered only to Out Scuba members and includes reduced rates or added benefits you would not get if you registered for the training directly. Out Scuba, however, does not offer training, does not benefit financially from registrations, does not certify divers or instructors, does not vet or approve the instructors, and does not recommend any training or agency to you. If you believe this training will be of benefit to you, we encourage you to contact the organizer and satisfy any questions you have before you sign up.
