Join us at Blue Heron Bridge on February 16th for some of the best macro and muck diving in south Florida. Never seen a seahorse in the wild? This is the place to find them, if your eyes are sharp enough! There are no guarantees of what you’ll see on any dives, but we’ve seen everything from seahorses and pike blennies on the small side of the scale, up to and including goliath grouper and spotted eagle rays on the large end.
Timing the dive with the incoming tide is the most important part of diving at Blue Heron Bridge. Timing the parking is even more important! High tide is at 10:33 on the 16th, but we recommend to anyone that you get there by 8:30 (2 hours early!) in order to get a parking spot. We are usually in the water for about an hour (1/2 hour before high tide and 1/2 hour after high tide). The depths are shallow, but you will likely want a wet suit to keep yourself warm. You should arrange to bring your own tanks and gear with you (including weight). If you have your own diver down flag, please bring that as well in case we need to break up into groups.
Everyone should use the RSVP feature if you want to join us.
